Also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, microneedling is for the treatment of the appearance of fine wrinkles, scars, stretch marks and the improvement of skin texture, tone, and color. During the procedure, a micropen is used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to aid in the production of collagen and elastin. The micropen also creates microchannels which allow topical gels, creams, and serums to be absorbed more effectively, enhancing the effects in deeper layers of the skin. Treatments consist of 4-6 sessions once every 4 weeks to achieve maximum results. Can be combined with HA (hyaluronic acid), GF (growth factor), hydroquinone or PRP (platelet rich plasma).
